We made it safely to Auburn.

Gina dropped by our hotel room to hang out with us (ok, with me, actually).



We had a nice day of just hanging out. Mommy and Gina went out while Daddy and I stayed in the hotel and napped this morning.







Daddy and I played some airplane (hopefully I'll like the real thing just as much as the game)



Now you can see what I look like blogging in my pajamas....



Next stops, Atlanta and Orlando!!

Pretty exciting, huh? I'll keep the count going as we progress.

We had a nice rest of our visit to the farm with Grandma and Papa. I spent a lot of time smiling at Grandma.

We played on the floor quite a bit.



Papa, Daddy and I went to feed the catfish in the pond out front.



I spent a lot of time playing with and sleeping on Grandma...



I got to meet my Uncle Kevin - he was quite smitten and took to baby-holding like a natural.



I went fishing with the boys for the first time ever.



All good things have to come to an end, so I had to say goodbye to Grandma and Papa to head on to the next leg of our journey.



We drove to my Great-Aunt Ellen's house to visit next. While at her clinic, they weighed me on the animal scales. I now weigh 10lbs and 9ozs (I ate dinner and they weighed me again and I gained exactly as much as they fed me...)



My Great-Aunt Ellen loved on me as much as she could....



We went out to the barn and said hello to Mommy and Daddy's old cat, Maggie. They say she's gotten fat, but that's a good thing.

It was probably a good thing that we headed on when we did - Grandma and Papa had straight-line winds right after we left (not quite a tornado) which caused some damage and a power outage. It sounds like there was no damage to Grandma and Papa's house, only to trees and they were a bit shaken up.

The next day we got back in the car and drove to the Tennessee Aquairium. I LOVED looking at the fish.



I was a little noisy for the IMAX movie, but really loved looking at the screen when I was in there. Afterwards, Daddy wanted to see what I'd look like with pink jellyfish hair...



On Sunday we decided to stay near home and be quiet for the day. David and Martie played with me and they even read my new book to me (it was about fish, of course).







That afternoon we "broke in" the new porch they had built behind the house. Of course, I had to be licked by the obligatory dog...









Next stop, Auburn, Alabama - WAR EAGLE!!!!

We made it through the start of our long journey.

On Sunday morning we said our final goodbyes to Grandpa and Granny. Aunt Jody dropped by so that I could chew on her for a few minutes.



Mom wanted a picture of her, me and Grandpa.



Mom also wanted a picture of her, me and Daddy (I don't know why...)



Daddy loaded me into the car and we headed off into the wild blue yonder....



We made it as far as Vernon, TX the first night where Daddy picked a very scary hotel. Mommy and I decided that he wasn't allowed to choose the hotel any more for the rest of the trip. Daddy and I hung out on the bed and napped before we got ready to go in the morning.

The next morning we drove to Dallas to drop off the car. Mommy frantically washed her car to get it ready to meet port standards. While she was cleaning, she found the missing key to Daddy's car - amazing how those things happen!

After we ported the car we were all together again at last. Mommy sat in the back seat with me and we played (while I was awake).



We stopped one more time in Louisiana for the night (the hotel wasn't much better, so Mommy and I didn't do that well either) and had an easy day of driving today to meet my Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa (Papa) (Mommy thinks that's odd to type or say - she can't get used to it).



Papa crawled around on the floor with me, which I really enjoyed.



The farm is still here and Mommy is looking forward to showing me around.




In the meantime, the Dogwood trees are blooming, which are Mommy's favorites.



Daddy sat out on the porch and let the dogs lick me. Such fun.

I'll definitely write more later, but it's getting harder to borrow a computer line for the next while.

Today we have a theme - sleep!! I've spent a lot of time this week sleeping. Ok, actually, I've been awake quite a bit, but Mommy has no pictures to prove it.

We went down to Nanna's house a few times this week to play. Mommy wanted to play with our kitties and Nanna wanted to play with me, so it all worked out. Grandpa Frank even held me briefly one of the times I was there, but we didn't get a picture, so he denies that it ever happened since there's no proof.





The cat, of course, needed to supervise all activities.





On Friday morning I got to spend a few hours napping on Granny while Mommy got some stuff done - it was wonderful! Bear (the dog) needed to supervise this activity.



In fact, Bear feels like I'm his baby. He continually checks on me and looks highly concerned if I cry -he follows Mommy and I around the house until I stop crying. Mommy finally let Bear check me out while I was trying to take a nap; he licked my head.



Sammy had to get in the act too (yes, I'm really in there somewhere).





Tomorrow we leave on our grand adventure around the US. By the time this trip is over I will have been to as many as 22 states. Pretty impressive for a 10 week old! I'll try to update at our stops along the way; the frequency will depend on the amount of time for each stop and computer availability.

It's been nice and quiet so far this week. Mommy and I have settled into Grandpa and Granny's house and haven't had much of anything to do for a few days except play and nap. Yesterday we did take my first trip into a bank AND a post office - a big day for me. Mommy took me by to visit Aunt Jody at her bank (while Mommy got the money order to pay her speeding ticket) and we shipped a few packages that have been riding around in Mommy's car since around the time I was born.

Aunt Jody, Uncle Shane, Tyler and Kalyn came by to see us last night. We had a good time. Uncle Shane said that he now remembers how tiring it is to hold a baby all the time - his arm was getting sore from holding me!







I showed Mommy my new trick this morning and held my head up while laying on my back. Very exciting.

After breakfast and before he left for work, Grandpa and I played bouncy in his chair.



I'm starting to figure these fingers out. Granny watched me put my thumb in my mouth for about 30 seconds the other day; I got so excited about it that I flung my arms out and couldn't figure out where the thumb went. For now, my finger will have to do.
